Halliday Bay is nestled in a picturesque part of the coast in between Ball Bay and Seaforth. The area is iconic with palm tree lined beaches and overlooks the Whitsunday Islands. You can find Halliday Bay 50km north of Mackay and 120km south of Airlie Beach and Sarina boat ramp is only a 5-minute drive away.
There’s plenty of fishing options around the coast but a boat will extend those options further to target species like Barramundi and Mangrove Jacks in and around creeks. The nearby islands give you the opportunity to tussle with sportfishing options like Mackerel, Tuna and Queenfish or target reef species like Coral Trout.
There is camping available at Sarina and Ball Bay but if you’re a golfing enthusiast you are probably aware of the Halliday Bay Golf Resort which hosts a 9 Hole golf course. The resort is located next to the beach and is a perfect getaway whether you’re into golf or not.
