Seaforth is a small beachside town in the Mackay region and not a place to leave off your travel itinerary.
Located 45 km north of Mackay and 118 km south of Airlie Beach it is a great place to launch the boat and search the local estuaries and islands.
The launch facilities are more than adequate with a floating pontoon but the bay can be quite shallow on low tide so caution is required. The ramp has good facilities, a large car park and is conveniently located.
Seaforth has a nice caravan park and if camping is more your thing there are plenty of sites right on the beach. The Newry islands are only a stone’s throw away and are easily accessible for exploring while also having beach camping spots.
