Beach and rock fishing is a popular fishing method used across australia.
One of the the best tips for finding fish when beach or rock fishing is to go and check out the area at low tide before you start fishing. Make a note of where the dips, hollows, and high points are.
This will give you a good indication of where the fish are likely to be laying and feeding when the tide comes in. Look out for areas of the coast line that that jut out into the ocean; you will generally find fish on either side of these points.
The best time to beach or rock fish is usually around high tide, especially if high tide falls at either dusk or dawn. Therefore if you’re going to suss out the spot prior, it would be worth while to check out the area at low tide and return at high tide.
